When can I start, and how long is the bundle available?
Begin home study after enrollment and receiving access. The 50+ CEU bundle is available through January 31, 2028. Courses are listed as Category A home study in the BOC Approved Provider portal under P120. The separate 260+ CEU library and NBCOS membership upgrade have their own purchase terms.
How are the textbooks available?
Most reference textbooks are purchased separately. Find ISBN information in your learner portal under Notifications, then purchase from a bookseller or use an available professional-library copy. PDF materials for the Orthopedic Casting and Splinting course are provided. Review each course’s required references before starting its assessment.
Can ASOP help with the BOC’s BCS-O specialty certification pathway?
ASOP’s separate 260+ CEU orthopedic specialty library includes content mapped to Orthopedic Practice Analysis domains and tasks for Path 2 professional development. Contact the CEU team for guidance on that program. The 50+ CEU bundle is a separate offer; specialty certification eligibility and certification are determined by the BOC.

Are these courses approved by the BOC?
American Society of Orthopedic Professionals (BOC AP#: P120) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program. Search P120 in the BOC’s home study listings for course information.
How are CE hours calculated, and what score do I need?
ASOP’s Continuing Education Committee uses the Mergener Formula, including educational word count and assessment questions, to calculate home study CE hours. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass. You have unlimited time and attempts within your course access period.
How will I receive my Certificates of Completion?
After you pass with a score of 70% or higher, your Certificate of Completion is immediately available to download and is sent to the email address used for registration. Learners with an active subscription or membership can also download certificates from their portal.
